Creating a Google Maps API Key

The Google Map API key is required for the following options:


  • Show Map on Click & Collect
  • Click & Collect - Location Geographic Search
  • Click & Collect - Location Auto-address Suggestions
  • Local Delivery - Max distance validation
  • Local Delivery - Driving distance validation

Google offers $200 in usage every month at no charge, which is typically sufficient for most merchants. If you exceed this free limit, Google will charge you based on your usage. You can find the latest plans and pricing information on the Google Maps Pricing page.

Create a Google Maps API Key

1. Go to the Google Maps Platform page and click the Get started button

2. We need to enable the following Google Map APIs


    1. Maps Javascript API
    2. Places API
    3. Directions API
    4. Geocoding API
    5. Distance Matrix API

3. Select Project or Create a New Project

4. Add the Project name and click on the "Create" button

5. Now, Enabled APIS and Services

6. Goto Library and search Maps Javascript API

7. Enabled Maps Javascript API

8. Go again to Library and search Places API

9. Enabled Places API

10. Go again to Library and search Directions API

11. Enabled Directions API

12. Go again to Library and search Geocoding API

13. Enabled Geocoding API

14. Go again to Library and search Distance Matrix API

15. Enabled Distance Matrix API

16. Now you have enabled all the required APIs, you can generate an API key. Click the Credential link.

17. Click the Create Credentials button and select API Key.

18. You now see your Google Maps API key in the popup.

Copy that key and paste into GAF - Store Pickup & Delivery > Settings -> Click & Collect -> Location Settings -> Google Map API key and Save.

Enable billing on the Google Cloud Project select the Project and set up the billing. otherwise, your map shows in development mode.
